“What is Sokana Collective?”

Sokana Collective is a Doula Agency committed to supporting individuals through all stages of their fertility journey. We offer training and resources to empower both new and experienced doulas.


“What’s the purpose of the redesign?”

The redesign improves usability while keeping the existing branding intact. It introduces a new online training academy so doulas can access and manage their educational content more easily.


“What is the Courses page?”

The Courses page is a new feature that allows users to:

  • Browse all available training courses
  • Preview course content before purchasing
  • Purchase and access owned courses

“Can admins manage course content?”

Yes. Admins can:

  • Log in via a secure portal
  • Add, edit, or delete course details
  • Manage user access and course availability

“How do users access the courses they’ve purchased?”

Once logged in, users are taken to a dashboard that shows their owned courses. They can click to begin watching or continue where they left off.


“What tech stack was used?”

  • Frontend: React, React Router v7, styled-components, Vercel
  • Backend: Node.js, Express, Supabase (for auth and database), Render
  • Database: PostgreSQL
  • Tooling: ESLint, Prettier for code consistency
